Teignbridge Lib Dems received a huge morale boost at the weekend with news that Sir Vince Cable, Party Leader, is to visit Newton Abbot on Saturday in support of the local Lib Dems election campaigning, where they are working towards regaining control of the council. The decision to visit Teignbridge is a reflection of the growing support locally for the campaign being conducted throughout the district and the increasing likelihood of electoral success based on both local and national polling reports. It’s a tremendous encouragement to all activists to have their hard work recognised in this way and will fire us all up for the last couple of weeks run into polling day. Sir Vince, who is impressed by the local parties growing electoral strength witnessed by 6 by-election victories out of seven contests in the recent past, will witness first hand the campaign and speak at a hurriedly organised fundraising dinner on Saturday evening.
